Medical advances in reproductive health provide new opportunities and challenges for today's teens and their caregivers including parents and providers. The availability of new technologies such as the HPV vaccine, emergency contraception, and birth control pills that eliminate periods can have a significant impact on unintended pregnancies, STDs, and the general well being of teens, yet we are not all necessarily on the same page about what technologies are for what teens.
