The breathtaking beauty of Lake Tahoe is known worldwide, but that beauty is fading. The entire Lake Tahoe basin is an ecosystem under considerable stress. Today, scientists from UC Davis, University of Nevada, Reno, and other federal and state agencies say the lake, one of the deepest and bluest on Earth, has less than 30 years before pollution turns it green. This documentary examines the expanding scientific exploration of the Lake Tahoe and a look at how humans can be included in a sustainable natural environment for future generations. (#5218)
