Equity and Progress in Global Health - The Science of Global Health: What’s Next?

1/1/2015; 28 minutes

Equity is both a goal of global health and a means to achieving greater progress in health. While mortality overall, and especially deaths in children, has fallen rapidly in many low and middle income countries, many inequities within countries have worsened. Future progress in global health will depend on both raising the average standards for health in the least advantaged countries and reducing inequities in health and well-being within all countries. Speakers include Jaime Sepulveda, Sam Hawgood and Harvey Fineberg of UC San Francisco. Recorded on 10/02/2014. (#29014)
