Health Services Research and AHRQ: Fulfilling John Eisenberg’s Dream - The Eisenberg Legacy Lecture

4/18/2013; 58 minutes

Health care quality is getting the right care to the right patient at the right time—every time. Evidence is being produced at an extremely rapid rate, but its incorporation into clinical practice is happening much more slowly. Dr. Carolyn Clancy, Director for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, is a general internist and health services researcher whose major research interests include improving health care quality and patient safety and reducing disparities in care associated with patients' race, ethnicity, gender, income, and education. She holds an academic appointment at the George Washington University School of Medicine and serves as Senior Associate Editor for Health Services Research and on multiple editorial boards. (#24845)
