The Sixth International Corrido (Mexican Narrative Ballad) Conference honoring the late Guillermo Hernandez, professor of Spanish and Portuguese at UCLA and a leading scholar of Mexican narrative ballads, took place at UC Santa Barbara. The conference also celebrated the work and memory of composer-vocalist Lalo Guerrero, whose archives are housed at UCSB. (#15402)
