Gertrude Buehring's research has focused on breast cancer throughout her 46 years as a professor in the School of Public Health at UC Berkeley. She presents her bold idea at the Global Challenge to Prevent Breast Cancer -- Since about 60% of US breast cancers are caused by bovine leukemia virus (BLV), eradicating BLV from cattle could dramatically reduce future breast cancer incidence.
